The control panel, usually a switching station’s control panel, on which the main switch and related equipment are mounted. Historically meters have the largest components on the panel, thus the name, but a meter board doesn’t necessarily need to have meters or gauges to be referred to by this term. Newer meter boards may feature built-in computer screens in place of actual meters.
The Electronic Meter Boards are suitable for text, pictures and logos, or a combination of all of them. In a way, this is a green solution because it avoids having to print signage that has to be thrown away after the conference, as well as allowing for more variation. This cost-efficient technology, which is becoming cheaper and better, is useful for branding (to display sponsors or theme your event) as well as for signage, replacing the traditional ‘Meter Boards’.
